My Sony just crashed and I am looking to buy a new laptop. I want the best laptop possible for about $1500. I would use it for mostly the internet and for school work, along with playing poker here and there. I was looking at the Dell XPS 1530, but all of the upgrade options confuse me. Getting another sony is up for consideration also. Any suggestions?

You don't need much for internet & poker. Get XP and a gig+ of RAM and you should be set.

I agree for what you are wanting to pay you can just save your money and buy a new computer every 2 years
